Job Description
        Essential Functions:

SRI International's Computer Science Laboratory is seeking 3 Summer interns to participate in NSF/ARO funded unclassified research on systems security topics, including malware binary analysis, new detection methods, and web security.

Area 1:  Static Analysis
We are seeking one or more graduate student summer interns to participate in research on malicious code anlaysis.  Candidates should be Ph.D. Computer Science students who are actively involved in static code analysis and interested in malicious code analysis.

Area 2:  Web Security
We are seeking one or more graduate summer interns to participate in research on advanced methods for detecting and diagnosing malicous web-based malware communications, including scalable malicious web space scanning methods, and new methods for inline or host-based client-side infection detection.

Area 3:  New Detection Methods
We are seeking one or more graduate summer interns to participate  in research on Internet-scale malicious code detection and defense, spanning topics from large-scale data correlation to new network analysis methods for detecting the presence of malware.  Candidates should be Ph.D. Computer Science students who are involved and interested in network-based malicious software detection or large-scale data correlation.

Experience and Education Requirements:

We prefer candidates who are involved and interested in malware and intrusion detection, Internet applications security, network or host-based malicious software detection.
